Photo Friday: Luther Dickinson

February 5, 2011 by Josh

This week’s Photo Friday post is a day late, but here is Luther Dickinson playing with the Black Crowes in 2008 at the Newport Folk Festival. I had a chance to see Dickinson play with the Crowes in 2009, and his guitar playing was definitely one of the highlights of the show. I’m looking forward to seeing him play with the North Mississippi Allstars this week in support of their new album Keys to the Kingdom.

Wow, I just love Black Crowes. I listen to Black Crowes since high school. My favorites are Hard to handle, She talks to Angels, and Remedy. Is Dickinson the regular guitarist of Black Crowes? Ahh he’s just awesome. I remember I used to play Hard to Handle with my acoustic Cebu guitar as a teenager. Gosh I miss those days.

Great blog and awesome post. Hope we can get in touch with each other and share ideas about guitars. I’m also a musician. I have a band called The Happiest. Cool! 😉
