She always hooked us up with great tickets for his shows, etc. She would also tell us story after story about how dedicated Mayer is to his trade--he would literally play a show every night of every year if his band would let him. He literally wants to do nothing but write and play. I'm a huge fan, of course, but I think this trait shows even to the casual observer. Great blog, by the way, Josh. You do a great job of giving all of us some cool insight that otherwise would be unknown to us. Thanks for doing this--we appreciate it. John Meyer has his own space there and also does a lot of recording in the studios below. I passed through Studio A one afternoon. His crew was setting up John's equipment for guitar overdubs. If memory serves me, there were in excess of 70 Fender Stratocasters in this giant case made for him. One of the roadies remarked that each one has it's own special sound, which of course is true but WOW! ... must be nice. I admit that Meyer is a wonderful musicians and after speaking to him a few days later I have to say he is a nice guy as well.
