Dunlop TV’s Interview with Mike Campbell’s Guitar Tech
Dunlop recently interviewed Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker’s guitarist Mike Campbell’s guitar tech, “Chinner” Winstead. In the interview, Chinner gives a tour of Campbell’s rig, including his guitars, effects, and amps. As you might expect, there are some nice vintage pieces in Campbell’s collection. As an added bonus, Chinner may have the best beard this side of ZZ Top. Watch the interview below:
Thanks for another Petty related video! Mike Campbell has always been one of my favorite guitarists. I don’t think he gets the recognition he deserves.
They mentioned those TV Jones pickups in that one guitar.
Hey Taylor, I agree that he doesn’t get the recognition that he deserves. I imagine it’s because Petty’s songs are so good they overshadow the instrumentation.
