IG, you make a great point. SRV was not the only person to die tragically in that helicopter crash on August 27, 1990. Also on that tragic flight were the pilot Jeff Brown; Clapton’s Hollywood Agent, Bobby Brooks; Clapton’s Assistant Tour Manager, Colin Smythe; and Nigel Browne, Clapton’s bodyguard.

Not to take away from SRV, but, I always wondered who the other folks in the helicopter were who died in the same accident. I know there were 3 others, and they were part of Clapton’s entourage from the gig that SRV had just played. That’s about it. Always been curious.
