Robin Trower Interview

StratCollector.com has recently posted an interview with guitar legend Robin Trower. Trower may be best known for his hits in the 70s such as Bridge of Sighs, Too Rolling Stoned, and his work in Procul Harum, but he’s still alive and kicking and playing guitar. He’s recently released a live CD and DVD called Living Out of Time: Live.

Joe Bonamassa Interview

Modern Guitars magazine has recently posted an interview with blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa. The interview is a good one and covers his records, touring with B.B. King, playing Voodoo Chile at age 6, and much more.

Factory Fridays at Taylor Guitars

Taylor Guitars has been running a series of videos called Factory Fridays where they show a function of their guitar factory each Friday. They recently released episode 13 which features the making of a Taylor neck. In the past, they have featured side bending, bracing, finishing and more. The videos are a very interesting look into what it takes to make an acoustic guitar. Each video is typically less than 10 minutes, although a few get up to about 15 minutes. Gov’t Mule Back in the Studio

Warren Haynes and Gov’t Mule are back in the studio for phase 2 of the recording process for their forthcoming album titled High & Mighty. Similar to phase 1, where they maintained a blog of photos and videos, they are documenting phase 2 with more photos and videos. They recently posted the first video of the new recording sessions which features drummer Matt Abts talking about traveling, touring and the new record.

Roadrunner Records Signs Zakk Wylde

Zakk Wylde and his band Black Label Society have recently been signed to hard rocking label Roadrunner Records. The band is currently in the studio recording their first release for Roadrunner.
